PARAM ANANTA Supercomputer

PARAM Ananta Supercomputer was commissioned in May 2022 at IIT Gandhinagar under the National Supercomputing Mission coordinated by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. The installation and commissioning of the facility were done by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) in coordination with IIT Gandhinagar. The facility consists of 7408 CPU cores and 20 NVIDIA V100 GPU cards. Further, PARAM Ananta is equipped with 52 terabytes of RAM and 1 PiB of usable SAN storage space. The peak performance of the PARAM Ananta Supercomputer is 838 TF. It supports applications from fields like Astronomy & Astrophysics, Atomic & Molecular Sciences, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Chemical Sciences, Climate & Environment Sciences, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Computational Physics, Material Sciences, AI/ML/DL, Quantum Mechanics, Atmospheric/Ocean Modelling, and Structural Engineering Mechanics.
