This policy will supersede the previous note which was signed by PIC-GA on 17th Aug-2016 and will be applicable with immediate effect.

Computers can be rented for the official/academic purposes only subject to their availability. The computers can be given on rent for first cum first serve basis. Users can check the availability of the rental computers via the ISTF website [hyperlink to be shared].

All the payments for the rent must be done  in advance (100% advance payment).

The minimum charge will be for 3 months and no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

It is the end-user’s responsibility to take the necessary data and applicable software backup (if any) and return it in operational condition, as is. In case, the hardware suffers either physical or liquid damage then end user has to bear either repair or replacement cost as actual.

In case, end user wishes to renew the rental period then it will be treated as a new request, and hence will adhere to the entire rental process afresh
