Microsoft 365

IITGN has a license agreement with Microsoft that provides several Microsoft products, including Office, to faculty, staff and full-time students.

Following are the supported Microsoft 365 applications that are available for use:

    • Word
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • OneNote
    • OneDrive
    • Forms
    • Teams
    • SharePoint Online

Note: Microsoft 365 add-ons are not permitted in the IITGN Office 365 environment.

Office 365

Office 365 EducationA3

Description
Office 365 Education A3 allows individuals to install Microsoft Office on up to any 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets and 5 smartphones. The Office 365 Education A3 includes Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

Requirements

  • To use Office 365 Education A3, you must have an IITGN Microsoft 365 account and have been assigned a A3 license. All current IITGN staff, faculty, and full-time students already have an Office 365 account and are licensed. Once your license is removed, your installations of Office 365 will go into a reduced functionality mode.
  • Notes
    • You must connect to the Internet at least once every 30 days to use the Office 365 Education A3 apps you have downloaded. This is so that the status of your Office 365 Education A3 subscriptions can be checked. If you don’t connect within 30 days, Office 365 license goes into reduced functionality mode. After you connect to the Internet and your subscription status is verified, all the features of Office 365 Education A3 are available again
    • To install individual Microsoft Office applications on a mobile device, you can go to the App Store for iOS or the Play Store for Android and search for Microsoft Office.
    • Office 365 Education A3 license is intended for individual use, since it’s tied to the Microsoft 365 A3 license of the user. Do not use Office 365 Education A3 to download software for groups or labs.
